The Journey Begins: 315 to the Castle
For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved Disney. The magic, the stories, the feeling that anything is possible — it’s always held a special place in my heart. But there’s one Disney dream I’ve carried for years that has always felt just a little out of reach: running a Disney Marathon. If you’ve ever seen the photos of runners passing through the parks before sunrise, characters cheering them on, and that moment when they run toward the finish line… you know exactly the kind of magic I’m talking about, and for a long time, I thought that dream just wasn’t meant for me.
Right now, I’m starting this journey at 315 pounds. Running a marathon — let alone a Disney marathon — feels intimidating, overwhelming, and honestly a little impossible, but here’s the thing about dreams: they don’t have deadlines. So I decided something. 2027 is my year.
Between this blog and YouTube, I’ll be documenting the journey from where I am today to the moment I cross that finish line at Walt Disney World. It won’t just be about running. It will be about learning to take care of my body, building strength, losing weight, and proving to myself that big goals are worth chasing — even when they feel far away. There will be hard days. There will probably be setbacks. But there will also be progress, growth, and hopefully a lot of moments along the way that remind me why I started.
If you’ve ever had a dream that felt bigger than you, I hope you’ll follow along.
This is the beginning of my journey from 315 to the Castle.
And like every good Disney story… it all starts with a little bit of magic and the courage to take the first step.
