Week Two of Training Complete: Burn the Ships
When I started this journey, I thought it was just about weight loss and learning how to run. I had no idea it would become so much more.
Somewhere along the way, it turned into a faith journey too.
You’ll be seeing more Bible study vlogs alongside my regular training updates. This season has been teaching me so much—not just about discipline and endurance, but about trusting the Lord in every step.
I’ve truly fallen back in love with simply diving into the Word and sharing what God is teaching me, and I’m so excited to bring you along for it.
This week, training has been hard. On Saturday, I only made it through half of my workout (2 miles) before getting sick. I found out I’m dealing with extremely severe allergies that turned into a full-blown infection, which forced me to take a couple of rest days. Taking rest days doesn’t mean I’m giving up. It just means I’m learning to listen to my body, spend time in the Word, and reevaluate what balance looks like—because being in the gym 6 out of 7 days a week might not be what I need in this season.
Sometimes growth isn’t pushing harder… it’s learning when to pause. And I’m trusting that God is in that too.
This week, I’m focusing on continuing to move forward—not looking back and not retreating from this new life I’m building. We’re staying the course and burning the ships.
With that, I hope you have a fantastic week and that God uses you in ways that you didn’t think was possible.
Here’s to week THREE!!!
xoxo,
Kait
